The medical business and natural remedies for anxiety

Natural remedies are often disparaged by the medical establishment and the their political lobbyists who would like to bury alternative treatments. Did you know that anxiety and panic attacks are more common than most people realize? Research indicates that between 7 and 15 per cent of the US population may suffer recurrent episodes of serious anxiety or panic. The stresses and on-going pressure many experience can get pretty serious. Brief individual or group therapy can often help resolve these anxiety attacks, but often additional help is also needed. Relaxation or desensitization training - basically a body/muscle-centered form of meditation, is often useful. Many people also find that natural anxiety remedies and panic work well for them and allow them to avoid the possible disagreeable side-effects or, in some cases, addictive effects of many prescription medications used for anxiety and depression.
